Every frame and fixture depends on the details at its connection points.

Corner joints need to fit around panels and accessories. Mounting plates need fasteners that match both their hole pattern and the profile slot. Threaded interfaces and workholding clamps bring their own requirements.

HENGDONG Aluminum is introducing four carbon-steel fastening components for these different assembly needs, from concealed profile connections and slot-mounted attachments to threaded inserts and T-slot clamping.

A Cleaner Corner Connection

Equipment enclosures, workbenches and other profile frames often need room at the corners for panels, attachments and tool access.

Designed for right-angle joints between compatible profiles, this connector places its locking structure inside the profile. It offers an option for layouts that call for fewer exposed corner fittings and a cleaner frame appearance.

Choose the connector alongside the profile and panel layout, checking the profile cross-section, slot dimensions, machining requirements and access for tightening.

A Sliding Nut for Slot-Mounted Attachments

Once a frame is assembled, mounting plates, brackets and other accessories still need a suitable connection to the profile.

These sliding nuts feature two tapped holes in one elongated body, providing a slot-mounted fastening option for compatible assemblies.

For mounting patterns arranged along a profile slot, check the nut and mounting plate together. The body must fit the slot, while thread sizes and hole spacing must suit the intended assembly.

Available thread sizes: M3, M4, M5, M6 and M8.

A Threaded Interface Within the Component

Some fastening requirements are contained within the mounting hole itself.

With both internal and external threads, these slotted inserts provide a threaded interface inside a component. They can be considered for threaded-insert applications and compatible thread-size adaptation.

Selection depends on more than the internal thread size. External thread dimensions, pitch, insert length, the component material and hole preparation all affect suitability and installation.

Include these details in the drawing or inquiry so that the insert can be matched to the intended joint.

T-Slot Hardware for Clamping Fixtures

Machine-tool tables, tooling and clamping fixtures require hardware matched to their T-slots and clamping arrangements.

These nuts feature a stepped T-shaped body for use in matching T-slots. They work with compatible studs or bolts and clamps to secure workpieces or tooling.

Available thread sizes: M6, M8, M10, M16, M20 and M24.

Check the actual slot dimensions and nut geometry; thread size alone does not establish compatibility. Machine-table T-slots and aluminum-profile slots should each be checked against the selected nut.

Plan the Connection Along with the Structure

Choose connectors when selecting profiles. Confirm fastening interfaces while laying out mounting plates. Specify the T-slot hardware when designing the fixture.

These four additions give engineers and buyers more component options for different connection points across frame and tooling assemblies.
